Welcome to the City of North Chicago's Information Technology Department. On a day-to-day basis the IT Department manages the city's information and communication systems. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • IT Infrastructure and Network Management: Administering the City's network, phone systems, and internet access for all facilities.
  • Application Support: Managing, maintaining, and supporting commercial and custom software applications used for city functions including billing, records management, and citizen services
  • Cybersecurity and Data Protection: Implementing robust security measures to safeguard municipal data and systems from cyber threats and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Helpdesk and Technical Support: Providing support to city staff for computers, applications, and technical issues to minimize downtime.
