The Argonne Drive Phase I Study

IL Route 131 to IL Route 137

 

The City of North Chicago is reconstructing Argonne Drive from IL Route 131 (Green Bay Road) to Broadway Avenue, and Broadway Avenue from Argonne Drive to IL Route 137 (Sheridan Road).  The proposed improvement consists of full-pavement reconstruction and the addition of bicycle accommodations from IL Route 131 (Green Bay Road) to the Robert McClory Bike Path.  A Project Development Report has been prepared for this project. 

 

The City has received STP-Local funds for this project, and a public information meeting is being held in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements and the Illinois Department of Transportation’s public involvement policy.  The purpose of this meeting is to present the proposed improvement and to seek public input and comments regarding the project. The details of the meeting are as follows:

The in-person public information meeting will be conducted in an informal, open house format.  Feel free to attend the meeting at any time between 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M.  The City of North Chicago and consultant representatives will be present to discuss the project and to answer questions on an individual basis.
