North Chicago Treasurer Vance Wyatt Breaks Investment and Banking Interest Record for Third Consecutive Year
North Chicago, IL – May 5th, 2025 – For the third year in a row, City Treasurer Vance Wyatt has shattered North Chicago’s investment and banking interest record, further strengthening the city’s financial position and demonstrating the power of strategic fiscal management.
Under Wyatt’s leadership, the city’s investment earnings have continued to climb, surpassing the previous record set in Fiscal Years 2024 and 2023. This achievement is a direct result of innovative financial strategies, a strong focus on maximizing returns, and ensuring taxpayer dollars are working efficiently for the community.
“When I took office, my goal was to modernize and optimize our city’s investments while maintaining fiscal responsibility,” said Wyatt. “Breaking this record for the third consecutive year shows that our approach is working. This success means more resources for critical services and future investments in North Chicago’s growth.”
Wyatt’s financial stewardship has included enhancing the city’s investment strategy, leveraging higher interest rates, and implementing transparency initiatives that allow residents to track where and how their money is invested. His efforts have also positioned North Chicago to strengthen its financial standing without increasing the burden on taxpayers.
In addition to breaking records, Wyatt has championed financial reforms that have brought the city into full compliance with federal reporting requirements and increased transparency in municipal finance.

Vance Wyatt has served as North Chicago’s City Treasurer since 2021. A financial analyst by profession, he has led the city to historic investment growth, modernized financial operations, and strengthened compliance with federal regulations. He earned his Bachelor of Science in business management with a minor in public policy from National-Louis University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in banking and financial institutions from Concordia University Chicago. Treasurer Wyatt also has received the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States distinction Certified Public Funds Investment Manager and Advanced Certified Public Funds Investment Manager. Treasurer Wyatt has also received the Certified Government Investment Professional from the Government Investment Officers Association.

Vance Wyatt se ha desempeñado como Tesorero Municipal de North Chicago desde 2021. Analista financiero de profesión, ha liderado a la ciudad hacia un crecimiento histórico de la inversión, modernizado las operaciones financieras y fortalecido el cumplimiento de las regulaciones federales. Obtuvo su Licenciatura en Administración de Empresas con especialización en Políticas Públicas en la Universidad Nacional Louis.
