North Chicago Police Officers Recognized for Highland Park Shooter Arrest

North Chicago, Il. (July 14th 2022)-  On July Fourth, Highland Park suffered the tragedy of a mass shooting at the city’s 4th of July parade.  That same evening, officers from the North Chicago Police Department identified, pursued and assisted in the arrest along of the primary Person of Interest in the shooting following a pursuit into neighboring jurisdictions.

 

North Chicago’s Mayor, Leon Rockingham and Chief of Police, Lazaro Perez will be recognizing these officers for the distinguished police work, professionalism and bravery exhibited on that day as the world watched justice carried forth by the NCPD and neighboring law enforcement for the people of Highland Park.

 

Media is encouraged to attend the ceremony and press conference where the NCPD will answer questions and grant interviews as time allows.
